Fall Season Food Tip: Healthy Foods That Boost Immunity



Eating healthy leaves no doubt that you will boost immunity. While nutrition eliminates chances of contracting flu, colds, and other viruses, instead of turning just to antibiotics, we can turn to specific foods.


Cauliflower, cabbage, and potato carry vitamin C for aiding white blood cells which destroy invading viruses and bacteria.


Pears are another great source of vitamin C and a medium pear contains 5.5g of soluble fiber which is one thing that helps flush out viruses, bacteria, and parasites that get inside the digestive tract.


Onions are super high in flavonoids and antioxidants but especially high in the flavonoid Quercitin. They are anti-inflammatory, anti-viral, and anti-bacterial.


Garlic helps fight bacteria and virus and is an excellent detoxing agent.


Radish is an excellent remedy for thinning down mucous and clearing sinuses.


Any foods spicy enough to make your eyes water will have the same effect on your nose, promoting release of mucous and opening up congestion.
